This weekend, it’s the Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant –the celebration and commemoration of that strange beasty that visited the area in the 1960s and may or may not have had something to do with the Silver Bridge Collapse (or the inexplicable disappearance of actor Richard Gere’s career).
High points (for me anyway) include the Miss Mothman pageant, Mothman pancakes (mmm, tastes like evil) and Star Wars re-enactors.
That last thing makes perfect sense since the Mothman has long been rumored to be Jar Jar Binks.

Anyway, it looks like a good time.
